Description

Bonne Nuit Bay is a small fishing harbour on Jersey’s north coast with a sandy and pebble beach. It’s a great place to visit if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle and sunbathe or relax enjoying the peace and quiet, while not a spot for swimming or any water activity. The high green cliffs provides natural shelter from the winds but the sun does leave late afternoon.

It is a great location to view local and migrating birds or see many a fisherman landing crabs and lobsters from their small fishing boats.

There is a popular beach cafe serving continental and Thai food, using the freshest local ingredients and as its beside the beach has access to seafood throughout the year, although it can get busy.

If you are feeling energetic then try the cliff path walks surrounding Bonne Nuit Bay as they offer spectacular views.

Nestled on a headline is La Crete Fort that dates from 1830 but sits on a site that was first militarised in the 16th century. It has been renovated and this tranquil retreat can be rented out from Jersey's National Park.

No lifeguards, deck chair or water sports hire.

There are public and disabled toilets and limited free parking.

Visitors can reach the beach via bus route 4 of the public bus service.
