The Institute of Law was incorporated by the Royal Court of Jersey in 2008 and is the Island’s centre for legal learning. Independent and not-for-profit, we offer academic training in Jersey law for degrees including the LLB, LLB, French Licence and M1, Master’s, Certificate of Higher Education in Common Law and more.


The Institute of Law is home to skilled and qualified educators. Virtual learning environments are available as well as scholarships and bursaries, law review publications and detailed study guides. Located in St. Saviour, we are governed by Advocate Stephen Baker and directed by Professor David Marrani.
