I had a little accident and managed to scratch the door of a hired car during my visit to Jersey. Concerned that it was going to cost a small fortune to fix I drove around to find a panel beater who could provide the service before returning the car to the hire company. A technician popped over with a polishing rag and spent a few minutes rubbing the scratch out with a polishing rag. What a relief that was! He wouldn't accept any payment at all, not even a tip. What he doesn't know is that he's saved me a lot of trouble.
