The Jersey Battle of Flowers is a carnival parade event held over two days, a day parade and a moonlight parade. Predominantly, floral exhibits of 12ft – 45ft travel in an arena situated on Victoria Avenue. Marching bands and other entertainment add to the spectacular.
The day parade is competition day where the floats strive to obtain the top prizes. The beauty of the blooms are mesmerising, creating a bright, colourful afternoon with plenty of interaction and great for all ages.
The Friday moonlight parade features all the same floats as the day parade but festooned with thousands of colourful lights. The parade generally has a more relaxed, carnival style feel to it and again is enjoyed by all ages. The parade starts after dark with musical entertainment beforehand.
