While Jersey has its own money, the Jersey pound, all pound sterling currency can be used freely on Island. The Jersey pound is also accepted in Guernsey but not throughout the United Kingdom. Some retailers and restaurants accept Euros.

 

 

Credit Cards

 

All major credit and debit cards are accepted.

 

 

Tipping

 

In Jersey, there is no VAT and service charges are not typically added to the bill at establishments such as restaurants. A minimum tip of 10 to 12% is considered acceptable.

 

 

Banking

 

An offshore financial centre, Jersey is home to a number of prominent banks, including UBS AG, Good Bank, RBS International and many more.

 

 

ATMs

 

ATM machines are located across Jersey.
